Nutty Fruit Dip!

This recipe is great to make and bring to a party since a lot of dips are filled with refined sugar and dairy.. Yuck! This is naturally sweet and the combination of fruits and nuts tastes incredible! I brought this to a friend’s get together (where no one was vegan) and they were all dying to know how I made it! The feeling of telling them there was no added sugar was a plus too! 😉

Ingredients:

1/2 cup Almond Butter
1/4 cup chopped Almonds
1 cup unsweetened Apple Sauce
1 tbsp Flax Meal
8 drops of liquid Stevia or several pinches of powdered
1 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Nutmeg
2 drops vanilla extract

1. Place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend on medium for 30 seconds.

2. Make sure not to blend all the way so the Almond pieces stay some what in tact so the mixture is chunky.

3. Cut up some fruit and serve!

    What’s Flax meal? :S And where can I get it in Canada?

      Flax meal is ground up flax seeds. Do any of your grocery stores sell the brand Bob’s Red Mill? This brand is popular for selling flour. That brand has Flax meal that they sell as well. If you have a specialty grocery store that sells more healthy products, they will probably have it. If not, try online! It would probably be cheaper online anyways 🙂
